Don't let the flu take you down!

Its Flu-season, which means its time to pump up your immune system! Influenza differs from the stomach bug or a cold. People with Influenza experience all or some of the following symptoms:

Fever or feeling feverish/chills
  • cough
  • sore throat
  • runny or stuffy nose
  • muscle or body aches
  • headaches
  • fatigue (tiredness)
  • some people may have vomiting and diarrhea (more common in children)

The flu is spread when people cough or sneeze and the tiny droplets that spread in the
air land in the nose or mouth of people nearby or when it lands on surfaces that others
touch and then bring to their mouths. This is why it is crucial to wash your hands on a
regular basis, and always before eating or putting your hands to your face. Also, it is very
important to stay home if you are sick to avoid infecting others.
